Kits

The Kits allows the user to enter a kit into the system so it can be sold as a kit in Point of Sales and Order Entry.

Before creating a kit, the user must make sure that a product is created with a Type “Kit” and all the products in this kit must be created as well with a type regular in the Product Maintenance file. We suggest that you take the Category Level 4 to isolate the kits so the cashiers and salespersons will be able to do search for kits by the categories in Point of Sales and Order Entry.

The system brings you to the Customer Kits Tab.

Kit: The user will type in the Kit number which is the Product number which was created with a Type “Kit”.

Kit Type: The user will choose a Kit Type from the pull-down list.

English Description: The system will fill in the English Description automatically based on the Kit Number.

The user must click on add or press F5 to add items to the kit.

Product Sku: The user must type in the product number that is part of the kit.

Quantity: The user must type in the quantity of this item in the kit

Kit Price: The system will calculate the Kit Price based on the Fixed Dollar Price or the Mark-up & or the Gross Margin % that is entered in the bottom part of the screen by Warehouse.

Under this section, the system offers different options to the user:

Add (F5): The user must make sure that this section is clicked with the mouse before pressing F5 to add to the proper section.

Modify (F3): The user must select the line to modify before pressing on the Modify key or pressing F3.

Delete (F7): The user must select the line to delete before pressing on the Delete Key of pressing F7.

Delete Kit (F8): The user must press delete kit or press F8 to delete the kit.

Recalculate (F9): The user must press Recalculate or press F9 to recalculate the kit price.

The user must highlight the bottom section before pressing the F5 key to add of can just click on the Add button.

Whse: The user must type in the warehouse number to enter the selling price of the kit.

Mark-up%: If the user wants to calculate the kit price by Mark-up, a mark-up percentage will be entered here.

Gross Margin%: If the user wants to calculate the kit price by gross margin, a gross margin percentage will be entered here.

Fixed $: If the user wants to enter a fixed amount for the kit, the fixed amount will be entered here.

Under this section, the system offers different options to the user:

Modify (F3): The user must select the line to modify before pressing on the Modify key or pressing F3.

Delete (F7): The user must select the line to delete before pressing on the Delete Key of pressing F7.

Once the kit is entered, the user must press ALT-F4 to exit the kit maintenance.

Under the Statistics Tab:

The system will show you the Quantity Sold, the Sales in Dollar and the Gross Margin in percentage for the Current Month and Year-To-Date. 

The system will show the same information for the same Current Month and Year-to Date for last year.
