Universal Product Codes (UPC): The user can use this grid to add all the UPC codes linked to this product by clicking on the Add button. The system will open an input box within the UC grid. At this point, the user must type in the UPC code and hit enter. If the user enters a UPC that is already linked to another product, the system will display a message and refuse the entry of that UPC until there are not other product linked to the UPC the user is trying to enter. All UPC codes entered within this grid can be used to recall the product in any input throughout the system asking for the product code. This UPC code can be scanned at Point of Sales, Order Entry, Receiving Slips etc. The user can checked the box if you want to UPC code to print on the invoices.
Picture File: This option allows the user to attach a picture file to the product. To add a picture file, the user must click on the Modify button and the system will pop up a window from which the user can select the picture file to link to the product. The user must select the picture file you wish to display and link to the product and click open. To remove the link, the user must click clear. The picture linked to the product will also display in the Clerk Inquiry option found in Order Entry and POS. In order to see the picture files in Phoenix, contact Phoenix to import your picture file to the /usr/phoenix/pictures/directory.
User Defined Fields: All 12 fields are free fields to be used at the user's discretion. The user can change the description of each field titles in the User Defined Fields Maintenance.
