Production Entry

This option is used to enter the production when the use is creating products such as urns, flower arrangements etc. Before starting to use this production entry, raw materials as well as final products must be created in the inventory maintenance – Main as well as the production kits must be created in the Production Kit Maintenance.

Reference: The user must create a reference for the production that they are creating.

Date: The user must press enter to accept today’s date.

Status: The status starts as New and will change with the progress of the production entry.

Warehouse: The user must choose a warehouse/store number to reflect their location.  The warehouse is chosen from a drop-down list.

Product / Kit:  The user must either choose if they are creating a product or a kit before proceeding.  A product means that a recipe is already entered in the recipe maintenance which means that all raw materials are already to a final product.  A kit means that the user must enter the raw materials and the quantity while creating the final product.

Product: When Product is chosen previously, the user must choose a product to create or the user can perform a search to choose the product.

Once The user entered the product number, the system will prompt you for the following question:

The user must click on yes to transfer the recipe into the production entry and the system will bring the recipe into the production entry.

This example shows all the products included the quantity required to create this product. The system also displays the Total Raw Material at a selling value as well as the total labour and overhead and a grand total.

The user can either add raw materials to this recipe by clicking on the Add button and than the user must enter a product number, a quantity, and a waste percentage if applicable.

Please note the Status.  The status will change as the user works on the production entry:

Once the user is satisfied with the raw materials and ready to produce the item, the user must press on the Quantity to Produce and enter the quantity and press enter.

The user might get the following message:

The user must click on OK to proceed.

Once this is done, the user must press the update button and the following message will pop-up:

The user must press Yes when ready to update this production entry.  The update will reduce the quantity on hand for all raw materials and will increase the quantity on hand for the product created in the production entry.

Kit: When Kit is chosen previously, the user must choose a Kit to create or the user can perform a search to choose the kit.

Once The user entered the kit, the system will prompt the user to enter the raw material to produce the final product.  In this example, Custom Design arrangement was chosen.

The user must enter the raw material and the quantity to create the Custom Design Arrangement in this example.

Let’s focus on the Balance from and to:

As the user enters the raw material and the quantity required, the system calculates the from and to based on a sale value and suggests which product the user should be creating based on the balance.

For this example, 5 roses were entered for a total price of $24.99 (circled in fuchsia pink).  Based on this, the system is displaying the total raw material of 24.95 (circled in orange) and based on this, the system is suggesting Product CDAR03499 (circled in blue) which in this case is a custom arrangement selling for 34.99.

The more products the user add to this arrangement, the system will tally the prices of the raw materials and the system will suggests other products to be created.

Once the user added all the raw material for this arrangement and ready to produce the item suggested by the system, the user must click on the Create button.

Before pressing create button, the kit number is as follow: CDAR

When the user presses on the Create button, the system will prompt the following question:

The user must press Yes if the wants to replace the production kit with a product number.

After pressing the create button, the system will change the kit number to the product number.

Once this is done, the user must press the update button and the following message will pop-up:

The user must press Yes when ready to update this production entry.  The update will reduce the quantity on hand for all raw materials and will increase the quantity on hand for the product created in the production entry.
