User Maintenance
Before accessing the User Maintenance to create your users, the user must go to User Group Maintenance to create the User Groups. User Groups are used for security.
The User Menu allows the user to create a user by entering the user's information such as User Name, address etc. This menu allows you to see Sales by Salesperson as well as Sales by User.
User ID: The user must enter the User ID number which is 5 digit and its alpha-numerical.
User Name: The user must enter the User Name which is alphabetical and its 40 digits.
User Password: The user can type in a temporary password and click the box to Reset Password on Next Login. If this box is clicked, this specific user must changed their password when they login the first time. The password is alpha-numerical and its 30 digits.
User Group: The user must choose which group he belongs to. These groups are bases on security so you can have different groups such as Cashiers, Head Cashiers, Buyers etc.
Under the user Information tab, the system fills in the creation date automatically.
In this area, the user must type in the following required fields to be able to finish setting up this user: Country, Province and Language. They are the fields in red which are mandatory.
The other fields can also be filled in but they are not mandatory.
Once all the information is entered, the user must press on the Save button to save this user into the system.
Once you have a user displayed on the screen:
1- Sales by Salesperson Tab:
If you have salesperson into the system which are attached to particular customers (which is used mostly for commission), the system will display the sales for this year as well as Sales History. This Sales History will be displayed for the year that the user chose since it can be changed. By default, this year is set to last year so comparison can be done.
2- Sales by User Tab:
The system will display the Sales by user for the current year as well as the previous year. The user has a choice to change the year to display on the History side.
3 - History Tab:
This screen will keep an history of all fields that was changed to this specific user by displaying the following information:
User: The user number who made the change.
Field: The field name that was changed.
From: Old Information.
To: New Information.
Date/Time: Date and Time of change.
