Customer Types

 

This Customer Type module allows the user to create different types of customers which will be attached to the customer account.  These types of customers are mostly used to enter special prices, bogos, coupons, club card special prices as well as reward card special prices or any promotions that you need to enter in the system.  These types are mostly available as an option when printing reports from the reports section in the Receivable module. These types are also available in the delivery charges.

The user must click on the button called Add to add a new customer type.

 

English Description: The user must type in the English description and press enter.

 

French Description: The user must type in the French description if applicable or just press enter and the system will copy the English description.

 

Price Change: The user must clicked on the box to prevent any price changes/overrides or discount changes at Point of Sales and Order entry.

 

POS Create: The user must click on this box if this customer type can be used to create new customer's at Point of Sales.  Once you click on this field, the system asks the user th following question:

 

 

The user must say Yes if this is the default Type of customer when creating a new customer or must say No if this is not the default that you want to use.

 

OE Create: The user must click on this box if this customer type can be used to create new customer's at Order entry.  Once you click on this field, the system asks the user th following question:

 

 

The user must say Yes if this is the default Type of customer when creating a new customer or must say No if this is not the default that you want to use.

 

In the middle section of this screen, the following topics should be answered by Type of customer by clicking on the check box if they apply:

 

Inter-Company Sales:  This box should be clicked if Type is for Inter-Store transfers/sales.

 

Allow Sales at $0.00:          This box should be clicked if you allow to sell items at $0.

 

Display Total Savings: This box should be clicked if you want to display the total savings and the user will have to choose a type of customer.

 

Please note that the Phoenix software keep records of all the changes for the customer types in the History section.
