Setting up the Account Creation

 

Before creating a new account, the user must setup several System Maintenance such as the Countries, the Provinces/States, the Currencies, the Regions as well as the Carriers.  To do so, please refer to the System Maintenance. All information created from the specific Maintenances will display a drop down list in the proper field of the Customer Maintenance.

 

Before proceeding with creation of a new account, the Customer Types and the Terms must be created as well.  To do so, please refer to the following sections: Vendor Type, Terms. All information created from the specific Maintenances will also display a drop down list in the proper field of the Customer Maintenance.

Options

 

REC - Aged accounts receivables by month:  If this option as a checked box, this means that this option is turned on so this means that the aging of invoices will be done by the month of the invoice rather than by invoice due date.

REC - Do Not Charge Interest on Interest: If this option as a checked box, this means that this option is turned on so the system will not calculate interests on the interest that was calculate in previous months.

REC - Calculate Interest in New Month:  If this option as a checked box, this means that this option is turned on so the system will consider the invoices of the previous month as 30 days so it will calculate interest on these invoices.  This means that the interest will be calculated on the first of the month before the user prints their statements.

REC - No statement on Closed Customer Account:  If this option as a checked box, this means that this option is turned on so the system will not print a statement for customer account with a status closed in the customer maintenance.  

 

 

REC - Aged Interest: If this option as a checked box, this means that this option is turned on so the interest will follow the aging buckets such as 30 days, 60 days etc. If not, the interest amount will be in the dating bucket.
